Windows 10: Fingerprint scanner doesn't work after Windows 10 Cumulative Update Version 21H2 KB5005565

Hello!Fingerprint scanner on my Huawei Matebook X Pro 2018 stopped working after I installed Windows 10 Cumulative Update Version 21H2 KB5005565. It shows in device manager, and on the startup I see Windows Hello asking me to put a finger on a scanner, however it fails to recognize my fingerprint. I have the latest driver installed and the scanner started working again after I uninstalled the windows update.Is there a way to make the scanner working with the latest windows updates?Regards,Denis.

Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update

As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"
or this




Is there a workaround for that?

Re-install the TWAIN drivers? (They are not included in Windows.)

You might get a better answer if you gave the make and model of the scanner.

People don't all run the same build as you, nor do they necessarily get the same update... thanks!

Have you tried reinstalling the driver - and checked reports on compatibility of that particular scanner?
You may be better using the manufacturer's forum for the scanner.
