Windows 10: Fingerprint Scanner is Glitchy After Waking Laptop Up From Sleep

After I wake up my laptop. I try to unlock the computer but it results it windows giving me other options to sign in. I try to keep using my fingerprint but it doesnt work. If I click on another sign in option and then back to the finger print scanner then it works. Also, this only happens if I dont unlock the laptop for about a day.

Unfortunately the above recommendation didn't resolve the problem. I'm still finding that the fingerprint scanner doesn't read my fingerprint after my laptop goes to sleep.

Hello! Thank you for the troubleshooting suggestions. I have tried them all, however, the fingerprint scanner still refuses to work on the locked screen after waking the computer up from sleep.

 

Issue with Fingerprint Scanner when Resuming from Sleep Mode

Hi,

I ran the Power troubleshooter, and then restarted the computer.

After the initial login, I put the system into sleep mode, and then woke it. Upon resuming, I get the Hello screen, and after several seconds (It doesn't matter if I touch the fingerprint scanner or
not) I get, "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again." If I then touch the fingerprint scanner, Hello recognizes me, and I'm logged in. So, this doesn't appear to have made any difference.

Any suggestions on a next step?
