Windows 10: Fingerprint scanner is gone from settings, everytime i click sign in options the app stay...

Hello, i have a HP laptop 15-dw3xxx ,I have a problem with settings,accounts,sign in options:everytime i click it the hall app stay blocked for 30 seconds then i can acceas it ,also the fingerprint option is gone completely my laptop has a fingerprint scanner, i tried updating the drive but the was no updates, windows is also up to date, is there anything i can do to fix this, also first time i accessed the sign in option there was only pin code option, no password ,nothing, aftee i reset the app/restarted the computer, 4 options showedassword ,photo, usb,pin code.

Post MS update fingerprint scanner sign-in gone?

Sometime within the past several days I noticed a lot of Windows settings no longer present. I figured it was just the usual, minor side-effects of an OS update.

But not the fingerprint reader that's worked just fine on the Lenovo P50 for years.

Settings/Sign-in options says 'Windows Hello Fingerprint - This option is currently unavailable. We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with...'

Before I reinstall the Lenovo reader I thought I'd check to see if that's that.

Fingerprint Sign In Option

Hi,

I have an HP Envy x360 with the Windows Hello sign in options. I have been using the fingerprint sign in option ever since I got the laptop a few months ago. I've not had any problems with it. I just updated it and now that option is gone when I turn
my laptop on and want to sign in. When I go into settings/accounts/sign in options, it says Windows Hello Fingerprint (and also Windows Hello Face, but I've not set that up) - this option is currently unavailable, click to learn more. I click and it says
"We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint." How do I go about fixing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

fingerprint login option gone!!

I Have HP elitebook 8440p which has a fingerprint scanner.

So I instaled the W10 compatble fingerprint scanner drivers.

Everything works great, i set up fingerprint login to windows.

Now its 3 weeks later and the option to login with fingerprint is completely gone.

Did microsoft push an update and disablethis option or somting?
