Windows 10: Fingerprint Scanner won't let me set up my fingerprint

Discus and support Fingerprint Scanner won't let me set up my fingerprint in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; I just got my new HP ENVY x360 and every time I try to set up my fingerprint it says the scanner is not connected or something and to reconnect it....     Fingerprint Scanner won't let me set up my fingerprint


    I just got my new HP ENVY x360 and every time I try to set up my fingerprint it says the scanner is not connected or something and to reconnect it. please help!

    Fingerprint Scanner for x64... Help!!!

    I have tried Microsoft's fingerprint scanner and one by APC (had them at work), neither manufacturer openly supports x64.

    There are no drivers for those. Looked everywhere.

    I was just asking if anyone knew of a model that does dox64, laptop scanners don't count as this is for a desktop.

    I'm just product searching.

    Fingerprint Scanner

    When trying to log into my laptop, there is no longer the option to use fingerprint. I checked the settings in 'Sign-in options' and underneath the fingerprint section, is says 'We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint.'
    This is a new issue as the scanner was working before. Any advice to fix this issue would be appreciated.

    Sir I have a Windows 10 HP laptop, on which I had been using the fingerprint scanner as a sign-in option. But since a few days, my device is showing that it cannot find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint. Please suggest me
