Windows 10: Fingerprint Sensor Continuously Detecting Input – Need Help!

Hello Everyone,I’m facing an issue with my fingerprint sensor on my ASUS laptop. The sensor continuously detects a fingerprint even when nothing is touching it, causing the error "Fingerprint didn’t match, try again." Because of this, my laptop never goes into sleep mode, which is draining my battery.What I've Tried So Far But Didn't Fix It Reinstalling and updating the fingerprint driver from the ASUS website Performing an in-place upgrade of Windows 11 Deleting the biometric database and re-registering fingerprints Adjusting settings in Device Manager Looking for a firmware or BIOS up

Windows doesn't recognize my laptop's fingerprint sensor.

I just bought a used HP elitebook 840 G2 which has a fingerprint sensor, I tried to link it to windows hello but couldn't. Tried to check if my fingerprint sensor drivers are up to date but couldn't even find one so I installed it from the windows website.
Now that I installed it I still can't find it on my drivers list and windows hello still can't detect a fingerprint sensor on my laptop. Happy holidays and merry christmas to everyone.

Kindly download and install the fingerprint driver using this link from the ASUS website:

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversFo...

Extract the files and run the executable file. Once done, kindly check the device manager if it can recognize the fingerprint driver.

Aside from updating the driver, you may want to download and install the latest BIOS and Chipset driver for your computer available at the ASUS website as well, here's the link:
