Firefox and chrome are giving proxy issue. No issues in Edge. Using Windows 10 21h2. This is happening with many users from our organization. One of the frequent error for Firefox is PR_END_OF_FILE_ERRORupgraded windows 10 to 22h2, no Proxy setup on machine. reinstalled all browsers including Firefox and Chrome.

Video Issues in Windows 10 With Firefox

Please provide the following information with us to understand the issue better.

  Is the issue occurs in Microsoft Edge?
  

• 
  Let us know whether the issue is specific to online videos or it is happening with other videos present in your system too?
  
  As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue.
  
  If the issue still persists, then try updating the Display driver and check. Here is the steps:
  

• Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run command box.
• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• In Display Adapter, expand Display Adapter, right-click , and then click
  Update.

If the issues persists ,only with firefox then i suggest you to contact firefox support.

KB3189866, KB3193494 and KB3194496 cause problem with Chrome and Firefox with authenticated proxy (SQUID)

I'm experiencing the same issue with a company proxy McAfee Web Gateway and a Windows 10 client, after the abovementioned update

I've traced the connection and discovered that the problem is related to Google Chrome not completing the 3-way handshake of NTLM authentication (in particular, step 3)

The issue is very weird considering that, from a comparison between MS Edge and Chrome, step 1 and 2 are the same. Then Edge completes the procedure with the authentication message (step 3) and Chrome stops the sequence returning to the user ERR_INVALID_AUTH_CREDENTIALS.

It looks like there is something in the KB code that breaks the NTLM authentication

 

Windows 10 - Chrome and firefox are not working

This helped me with Chrome but not with Firefox.

I opened Control Panel>Troubleshooting>Programs>Advanced, Run as Administrator and then went through the steps. My problem was the Chrome wouldn't start at all, so I went through the steps and it asks what program you're having problems with, I chose Google
Chrome, it'll go through a short diagnostic and then give you the option of Troubleshoot Program & then it gives a list of problems. I chose the first one: This program worked in earlier versions.... then click next, I clicked Windows 7, then next and it did
it's little fix. I tested and Chrome opened up just fine.

No such luck for Firefox, though.
