Windows 10: Firefox profile: Task Scheduler vs Desktop shortcut

I recently screwed up my Windows 10 Pro system and was able to get just about everything back. One problem that still exists is that I now have two Firefox profiles in use. I know where those are stored but I want to understand them from a different angle.Although they launch from and start in the same folder, it seems that Firefox launched from Task Scheduler is running a different Firefox profile than Firefox launched from a desktop icon. I know this because of how the Firefox windows are sequenced/group in the Task Bar. Both are running Firefox version 94.0.2 64-bit. But, I can tell th

Missing Firefox shortcut from All Apps menu

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

• 
  Press Windows + R keys to open run window
  
• 
  Type Firefox to launch firefox
  

If it launches, you may try to create a shortcut of it by following the steps below:

• 
  Windows + E keys to open Windows explorer
  
• 
  Select this pc and select C: drive
  
• 
  Open Program files and right click on firefox and click on Shortcut on desktop.

What error message you're getting while using Task Scheduler?

Suggest you try the below mentioned steps to fix any issue with corrupted system files:

• 
  Press CTRL+Shift+ESC to open Task Manager.
  
• 
  Click File > Run New Task
  
• 
  Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• 
  Type CMD
  
• 
  Type or copy/paste the following commands at the CMD prompt:
  
  dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  
  sfc /scannnow
  

Reboot the system and check if the issue still occurs. If the problem still persist, try to check the issue by creating other User Profile to see if problem still arises.

No errors found by each suggestion. May have to do a clean install unless someone has a different solution
