Windows 10: FireWall not allowing portforwarding

  1. FireWall not allowing portforwarding


    Recently I have tried to set up a small Minecraft server for me and my friends and attempted to port forward so they could join. I ran into the issue of my computer's firewall blocking the connection. I'm pretty sure that's the issue because if I turn off my public network firewall a connection can be established. The issue is that I don't want my firewall disabled all the time but cant find a way to do it. I attempted to add inbound and outbound rules but no dice. So if anyone could offer some help I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Windows Firewall - how to allow access

    I believe that my firewall is blocking access to Family Tree Maker / Ancestry / MacKiev SYNC - I can't see any reference to any of these names in the allowed list ....

    I can't see any way of adding to the allowed list

    Any suggestions ?

    I request you to try the below steps:

    • Right click on Start menu icon.
    • Select Control Panel.
    • Now select Windows Firewall.
    • Select "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall" from left hand side pane.
    • Select the app which you want to allow.

    Hi,

    Let's try to resolve your concern. Follow the steps below on how you can add/allow Firewall exceptions on your device:

    • Search for Firewall using Cortana or the Search bar.
    • In the Windows Firewall window, choose
      Allow an app or feature through
      Windows Firewall.
    • Click the Change Settings button, and then select the apps on your device that you want to allow or be exempted on the
      Firewall.
    • Click OK and then the Close button to close the
      Windows Firewall window.
