Windows 10: Firewall Port Open - Connection Failed on Telnet

We have a server that workstations are needing to connect to using port 9091. The server's windows firewall port 9091 inbound is open but the server does not show it as listening. When attempting to telnet to the server from the workstations on port 9091, we get a connection failed error. The port connection is for a specific software vendor and they say they don't know why their logs are showing that the software on the workstations are logging an error of "Cannot connect to 192.168.0.134:9091." I ran "Simple TCP Listener" on the server and had it listen to port 9091 and it did make conne

Fail to telnet after open port 5501

Hi,

I open port 5501 in firewall (Inbound Rules) and try to telnet locally to the port. It show connect failed.

Anything else should I consider in order to allowed port to enable?

Meanwhile I use netstat -na to check port open (listening) in my Laptop, the result not show in the TCP listening, why?

Windows 10 IOT Core , telnet on 8081 Could not open connection to the host, on port 8081: connect failed

I am trying to telnet 8081 to iMX6 board having windows 10 IOT Core installed, but i am getting the error "Could not open connection to the host, on port 8081: connect failed"

When i ping to the iMX6 machine i get a reply, my question is that , is IOT core has specific ports open?

or some firewall settings we need to enable? If so how to enable.

I have installed the following image from NXP "W1860_1_0_1_EVK_iMX6ULL_512MB_TestOEMInput-xml-Release.ffu"

telnet connection failed on port 23

Port 23 is the usual telnet port. You can't connect to cs.purdue.edu because they don't allow it. I can't either.

There's nothing you and I can do to make purdue accept telnet connections.

Have you been specifically directed to use telnet to cs.purdue.edu?
