When searching for this topic the frequent answer points to this page: <https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-store/prerequisites-microsoft-store-for-business>.That page is no longer available. Is there a suitable replacement documentation that describes which endpoints to whitelist to enable accessing Microsoft Store in corporate environments?Best Regards,Carlos Nihelton

Firewall no longer allowing "Allowed" program on Inbound Rule

Using Windows 10 and trying to allow a program to access my computer remotely through a specified port.

This used to work by allowing it in the firewall settings and turning on both public and private firewalls.

Now I have to turn off the public firewall to allow it to access my computer remotely even though it is in the inbound rules list with :

    Profile: Private, Public

    Enabled: Yes

    Action: Allow:

    Program: [path to program]

    Everything else : any

This allowing used to work but now it doesn't.

Add Store apps to Windows Firewall outbound rule

I successfully acquired applications through Microsoft Store, using a temporary solution. Microsoft needs to provide a full list of IPs to add exceptions. A script to add / remove these exceptions to Windows Firewall is helpful.

I added two more outbound rules:

    • Windows Authentication (svchost.exe)
      • Program: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
      • Allowed remote IP range:
        • 40.126.31.0/24
        • 40.126.32.0/24
    • Windows Store Download (svchost.exe)
      • Program: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe
      • Allowed remote IP ranges:
        • 23.67.131.0/24
        • 13.107.4.0/24
        • 20.82.154.241/24
        • 2a02:26f0:dc:2b8::3114/112
This is a temporary solution because IP changes whenever Windows Store is restarted. A workaround is to allow svchost.exe to connect to any IP while installing applications.
