Windows 10: Firewall settings for deleted windows apps

I'm not good with firewalls so this could be stupid question but..

I deleted or disabled some windows packages or services but firewall rule is still active in windows firewall.

I would like to know if it's better to block connection or to disable the rule?? What is the difference and what is better for security between the two options??

Next question, qbittorrent added firewall inbound rule, public profile TCP and UDP enabled for all ports. In qbittorrent program I have one port set for incoming connections, should modify also my firewall and put only that port instead of all?? Thanks

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

• Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
  Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
• A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
• Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.

 

Can't add windows 10 store apps to firewall settings (allow an app through firewall).

The apps use to appear on the list of apps allowed through the windows firewall but I reset the firewall settings and the apps were removed. Now there is not way to add the windows store apps back because you have to point to their .exe files which are hidden/encrypted.
Is there a way to add them back the list of allowed apps through the firewall?

I am having difficulty downloading music from Ares.It has been suggested that a firewall may be responsible.Can anyone supply a list of firewalls for windows 7 so I can delete the culprit.
