Windows 10: first hdmi disconnected after plug in another hdmi into the monitor

I think is the power management problem.I tried to use only one HDMI, but when I switched the monitor's input between HDMI 1 and HDMI 2. HDMI 1 shows signal lost.Its kind of HDMI port sleep after I switch to another input signal. Its struggled me when I using HDMI 1, it immediately switch to HDMI 2 when I plug in HDMI 2. It is not staying in HDMI 1. When i switch back to HDMI 1, signal lost then. Cable connection all ok. graphics card updated.

Second monitor not working with HDMI

Hi,

I have tried the above steps but still the monitor is not detected.

When I plug it to the tv through hdmi, it is displayed, but not to the monitor.

HDMI: Not plugged in

So from day one, my second HDMI port hasn't been working. I plugged in my monitor. Nothing happened. So I switched to the second port. Booted up my PC and the monitor worked. I thought it was a bug. A few years later, I want a second monitor. HDMI port still
not working. So I use VGA and it runs fine.

Now I got an Oculus Rift. I need the HDMI port. But as usual, doesn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my graphic's drivers. I've updated them. I've unplugged my monitor and tried rebooting my PC with my monitor in the closed HDMI port. Still
nothing. I've run out of ideas. The HDMI cables hook up just fine. All the way. My TV/monitor even tells me PC HDMI 1 and PC HDMI 2. It knows they are in different ports. But I can't get the audio or video to work.

I was really excited to use my Oculus. I already sent in a ticket there. But I figured the problem would persist here as well.

Before you ask, I have a Windows 10, 64 bit AsusTek computer.

Intel Core i7-4790S Processor.

12288MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750

No matter what I plug in it says, Not Plugged In, for my NVIDIA Output. My Computer has 2 HMDI and 2 VGA outputs. I'm decently tech savvy so I'm here it means I'm desperate. My only current solution is to buy some HDMI/USB adapter. But I've postponed this problem
long enough.

 

HDMI to DVI Monitor Will Not Play Audio

This is complicated. I started out having a simple television monitor, connected to a VGA cable to my computer. Recently, I decided to have dual monitors. I got an HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI converter because my computer doesn't have a HDMI port. After
plugging everything in, setting up, I had two monitors: the television, and a secondary screen. Putting audio through right from the pc works, or simply plugging earphones into the audio jack on the computer. The television, however, does not play sound anymore.
I updated, disabled, did everything for the drivers. Didn't seem to work. I'm not sure if I should still connect the audio cable from the television to the back of the computer, since HDMI cables support both audio and video. When I right click playback devices,
and check disabled and disconnected devices, HDMI does not show up at all. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Do I need an audio cable, or is the HDMI cable enough?

I'm currently using the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on an HP Pavilion Desktop Computer.
