Switch from Japanese Keyboard to English keyboard in Microsoft IME

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I apologize for the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

I suggest you to check if you are facing the same issue when using on-screen keyboard.

1. Select Ease of Access which is at the bottom of the screen.

2. Click or open On-screen keyboard.

3. Enter the password using On-screen keyboard and check if helps.

Also check if the region and language is set properly.

To see the settings and options for any IMEs you've added, follow these steps:

1. Enter
Region and language settings in the search box, and then tap or click
Region and language settings.

2. In your list of languages, tap or click a language to see the related input methods.

3. Tap or click an IME, and then tap or click
Options.

4. Change the settings you want.

Some IMEs have additional settings located in Control Panel. To see these settings, follow these steps:

1. Enter
Add a language in the search box, and then tap or click
Add a language.

2. Tap or click
Options next to a language.

3. Tap or click
Options next to an IME.

4. Change the settings you want.

Hi,

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.
