Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

Camera not showing device manager

Please help me as my camera is not working. While checking the device manager camera is not showing. Even after enabling "Show hidden devices" its not displaying in the list. I restarted my computer still its not showing. My Laptop Lenovo Ideapad z480,
Model Number: 20134

 

Why cant someone figure why built in web cam is missing from device manager in windows 10?

If the device is connected to the computer, it should show up in Device manager. I appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting and thank you for providing the information. Please try the methods mentioned below to check if that helps.

Check for hidden devices: It can be the drivers are installed as shadow drivers due to which you are not able to view them in device manager. I would suggest you to check and uninstall these drivers.

1. Open Device Manager (In the search box on the taskbar, type
   Device Manager, then select from the menu).
   
2. Then click on View tab and then click on Show hidden devices.
3. Then check if you are able to find the hidden drivers for camera and uninstall them.
   
4. Restart your computer.

Add the device in Device Manager manually: Please follow the steps mentioned below to add the device manually.

Open Device Manager.

1. Then click on Actions and then click on Add a legacy hardware.
2. Then click Next, and choose “Install the hardware that I manually select from the list” and click
   Next, scroll down to choose Imaging Devices and Click
   Next.
3. Then click on Imaging devices and then follow the on screen prompts.
   

If the above does not helps and you have tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article:

Fix a missing Camera Roll in Windows 10 and
Camera does not work in Windows 10, then there is a possibility that it
