Windows 10: Fix choppy video playback in Windows 11?

any time i try playing videos using apps built in with Windows 11 videos in the camera roll using the Camera app or the Media Player to play videos elsewhere on my PC its very choppy showing like 2 frames per second. it definitely isn't the videos being messed up because if i play them back with another app VLC player, Legacy Media Player, even FL Studio bc i was desperate it works fine & this is happening with all videos including videos recorded by Windows itself through the Camera app. there isn't too many resources being drawn when trying to play videos so i have no idea what could

Windows Video Editor: Choppy Playback

Hello, my question is about the new Video Editor function from the Photos App. When I open video clips in the Photo App, they run smooth. However, when I move them to the Video Editor(for video editing), the playback is super choppy. How can I fix this
issue?

My laptop specs:

• XPS 13 9350 Signature Edition
• Processor: i7-6560U CPU @2.20GHz 2.21GHz
• Installed Ram(usable): 15.9GB
• System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processror

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Method 1: Run the Video Playback troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Video Playback.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
• Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then install the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if it helps.
