    Can't install Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3087040) - Error 0x80004005

    That particular update is having issues for some reason. Try this to fix the issue:

    Looks like MS fixed the problem for this a short time ago today...well for me anyways *Smile . I tried all day yesterday and up to a couple hrs ago and still getting the same error. I just tried a few mins ago with Windows update and it downloaded successfully and installed successfully. So I didn't have to do the manual update.
    patience paid off for me *Smile
