Windows 10: Fix start not working

    Fix start not working


    The start menu in my Windows is stop working. Clicking it does not provide you the menu for your app. It is just working yesterday so maybe restart works but no. Keyboard shortcut for it does not help as well. I run anti-virus scan using my third party app didnt detect anything at all so I want your help.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    Fix start not working

    Start Button displaying but not working


    The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?
