Windows 10: Fix tablet touchscreen not working without power connected - 16299.19

A common issue with tablets and some touchscreen laptops is that the touchscreen does not work without power connected.

I have found a solution that works on my device and seems pretty easy to do for other devices.

I had to also add SelectiveSuspendOn and set to 1 - not there for a clean install.

I had to mess around changing permissions in second registry edit which was needed as it happens.

Now I have my Linx8 on 16299.19 working properly.

Touchscreen not working at all after upgrade to Windows 10 and can't restore back to 8

I recently obtained a Chuwi v8 dual boot tablet and said yes to the upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8. Immediately after upgrade, the touchscreen doesn't work at all. I hooked in a dual wireless mouse/keyboard to the USB connector and see if I could
fix the driver issues but couldn't.

Then I tried to revert back to Windows 8. It tells me I can't revert back to Windows 8 while on battery power. There's only one USB port on the tablet used for both power and connections so since the touchscreen doesn't work, if I plug it in I can't click
"ok" - it's powered on but a lump. So I'm screwed in a catch-22 situation. How do I either get the touchscreen working or revert back to Windows 8?

 

Can I reactivate touchscreen in Windows 10?

Touchscreen only works in tablet mode. Can you believe it?! How do I use touch mode without tablet mode being activated?
