    Hi Parren, Usually, the System Warning: Unknown Hard Error is triggered by corrupted system’s files or registry entries . ..

    At the top of that error dialog there should be a process or dll listed in the dialog header - what is listed there?

    is there a fix to sihost.exe hard error?

    new fresh upgrade install windows 10. ( from 7 )

    critical error - start menu and cortana aren't working.

    went through steps as advised.

    Safe Mode - Sihost.exe unknown Hard Error

    PC is now useless as start and search never loads and NO FIX OR ADVISE FROM MICROSOFT???

    I would like an answer please....

    My PC recently updated and I have an empty deskstop. Believe it's due to sihost.exe unknown hard error. I tried to do the 5 fix at Fix: sihost.exe Unknown Hard Error after Windows 10 April 2018 Update 1803 | Driver Talent

    I have done "Perform a Clean Boot on Your Windows 10" but it did not work.

    I could not Run SFC/Scannow Command and Run CHKDSK Command Press Windows + X is not working.

    Likewise my start menu is not working.

    Please help
