    Fixing old DPC Watchdog Violation BSOD


    Hello, fellow Windows users. A while back I was running Windows 10 perfectly fine on my Dell G7 7588, but then all of the sudden I get a terrible BSOD saying, "DPC Watchdog Violation." I tried everything I could find on the internet, but to no avail, so I took it to the local computer technician, throwing $65 at it with nothing fixed. I decided to run Linux and that worked, so now I'm on Ubuntu. Ubuntu is great, but I really just need Windows. It's perfect for my needs and I need to use a Lockdown Browser for school that is unavailable on Linux Distros. The interesting thing is that I can run Windows 10 in a Virtual Machine, but not on my actual laptop.

    I got to the point where I completely reinstalled and reset Windows, but my background picture remained the same in what appeared to be a brand new installation of Windows 10. Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm pretty desperate at this point.

    BSOD DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION

    According to what I found from your minidump file, ndis.sys is caused this
    DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION BSOD error on your Windows computer.It's a
    NDIS 6.20 Wrapper Driver and installed onto your computer through Windows Update. As far as I know, you have installed new Windows updates lately.

    You can uninstall those updates out of your computer, restart your PC and check again the result. Remember to do these steps in Safe Mode.
