Windows 10: flash drive doesnt appear anywhere. event viewer says stopped.

Im trying to update my BIOS because I think its causing a lot of problems for my CPU. I can't even plug in a flash drive though because windows doesnt show anything when i plug it in. It maes the windows sound but nothing in file explorer and nothing in the bottom right. I check drive manager and its not there. I check event viewer and it says it starts but in the same second it also stops.i have tried 3 flash drives, they all work on my roommates PC like normal.

I suggest you re-install the video driver. I'll add a few words of explanation about Event viewer in a moment. They won't affect the need to reinstall that driver as your first step. Denis

 

WLAN Autoconfig service keeps stopping

I suggest you to try following methods and check:

Download the latest drivers for the adapter from the manufacturer’s website and install it on the system.



Check Event Viewer as soon as the WLAN connection is stopped in order to know which application is causing this issue. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below to open Event viewer.

Open Event Viewer

• 
  Right-click or tap and hold the Start icon. Choose Event Viewer.
  
  The Event Viewer appears.
  
• 
  On the left, choose Event Viewer, Custom Views, Administrative Events.
  
  It may take a while, but eventually you see a list of notable events like the one shown.

Event Viewer problem with latest Windows Build 1607

After installing the new Windows build 1607, the Event Viewer stopped recording events under Diagnostic Performance. (Before 1607 I checked the files located under Windows.old dated 9/23/2016 and located this file which indeed did have a list of events
recorded.)

Since the initial 1607 download there have been two new builds automatically installed on my laptop.



The last step in an automatic download is the RESTART. Prior to my rebooting, I checked the Diagnostic Performance and for sure, these had the list of events.



Rebooting by me, causes the Diagnostic Performance errors to disappear.

As suggested earlier I have run the SFC/DISM commands with no errors reported.

Any Ideas?
