Windows 10: flash drive for car

I have no disc player for my car so I successfully ripped files from a CD to a flash drive and it works in the car.
I have a 32 GB flash drive and there is plenty of room but I cannot add more file to it.
It seems media player does not recognize the flash drive and sees the CD I ripped. This is in the upper right of the player.
I was lucky the first time and am not sure what I am doing. is there n easier way to put many CD files on the flash drive?
I find WMP very confusing and have VLC installed but that is also difficult to understand.
AS it stands I have 7 files on the flash drive and ripped 7 more that are waiting to be burned to the flash drive if I can get the player to recognize the flash drive.

In my new 2019 Subaru, I can't seem to get past a 16 GB Flash Drive - followed all the steps in the manual.

Best file system for flash drive (playing music in car)

First of all, the best file-system is always the default that the manafacture has set. Most common format is FAT32. Formating your flash dirve should only be done when you planning to do something specific or its needed cause it's not compatible with some operating systems etc.

In your case FAT32 would be the best cause it's very compatible with media-player devices like radios, consoles etc. but there could be problems with some larger files cause FAT32 supports only up to 4gb. I would try it with exFAT it's the next best one that should work with your car stereo. Next I
would try other most common like HFS+, NTFS, APFS, EX2/3/4 ... Google says more about file system comparsion!

The next question would be the cluster size. If you want to store large files on that drive, a large cluster size is better as the drive will be faster. If, however, you want to store small files or run programs off your flash drive, a smaller cluster size will help preserve space. But more about that you can find here. Doing for all that I have very good experience with a tool called Partition Wizard
