Windows 10: Flash Drive not showing up in file manager but reports working fine

the drive shows up in device manager and reports that it's working normally,the drive also shows up in drive management but the open logo is greyed out. I have 3 flash drives and they're all doing the same thing, Ive not used them in a while so there's a chance they're all just dead but it seems unlikely given they're showing up fine

help. USB drive isn't assigned a drive letter.

Any usb flash drive I plug into my computer isn't assigned a drive letter. The physical drive shows in the "safely remove hardware" but it doesnt show up in disk management. I have tried to populate the volume thru the safely remove hardware properties window and it does pop up in the list but it doesn't stay there. This isn't a format or assign a letter problem. It's more complicated then that. Maybe one of the services needed for usb drive management was disabled? Suggestions needed. btw external usb harddrives work fine.

 

Flash Drive not showing up in Device Manager or File Explorer

I have a sandisk ultra flash drive that I made the mistake of plugging into a printer so that it could scan files directly on to it. I should have known better as printers always find a way to make your job harder, but, it ended up corrupting the flash drive and now I'm stuck with all of my work documents inaccessible. I really need to get this flash drive back up and running so any suggestions would be really appreciated. I have attempted to delete the registry files that were specifically for the sandisk, I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall usb controllers, and I have attempted to use disk management but it won't show up there either.
