Windows 10: Flashing log on screen

I have had issues with a flashing log on screen on my Win10 2004 reinstalled Win10 last week from scratch to see if that helps but it hasn't. The screen is connected via either DVI-D or D SUB cables. I was using the built in graphics but decided to go for a dedicated graphics card Geforce GT610 to see if the flashing would stop. I installed the card last night and it fired up fine. I shut the PC down and left it a few hours and then rebooted praying the flashing would have gone but it hasn't. To get around the problem I need to reboot the PC a couple of times every time I boot up.


What do you guys suggest I do? I did wonder if it is the Power supply but the PC fires up, I thought of the RAM and it says I've got 3.6GB of 4GB available. Note here - the spec of RAM says it is 1600 mhz but in BIOS it only say 1333 mhz. The motherboard is ASUS F2A85-M and power supply FSP 450-60 APN


I wondered if I needed to disable ON board graphics but it is seeing Geforce gt610 is display adaptor setting. The gt610 is a PCI card and the fan is going around etc. If I would have been better getting a x16 card I don't know which one under £40 ideally with 1GB like the built in graphics.


Help me before I throw computer out of window.

Black Screen after Log on

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

You might see a flickering screen if you're running Office 365, or Office 2016 build 16.0.7668.2066, which was released to a small group of customers between 1/25 and 1/30.

As of 1/31, Office 365 or Office 2016 build 16.0.7668.2074 is available and contains a fix. To resolve this issue, please update Office to the newest version. Since the screen is flashing, you will need to do this using a command line. Please see this article
