  2. About using products

    Hi Siawosh,

Although you can use Windows without a license, there are many disadvantages of using a pirated Windows Operating System. Some of the most common disadvantages are briefed below:

    • No official and commercial support from Microsoft.
    • PC gets slowed down and perform bad due to the hacks done to make it genuine.
    • No official builds and updates.
    • Malware and viruses pose a unstoppable threat.
    • Hackers might be spying on you. (Operating Systems downloaded from torrents may be modified by a hacker or a cracker to snoop on you.)
    • Keyloggers may be installed and running in the background which will store all your keyboard key strokes and transfer them to a hacker. Those key strokes contain passwords, personal details and much more.

Having all these disadvantages listed, it is recommended that you buy the product to make the most out of our Windows
    products and services.

Let us know if you need any other assistance.

Windows 10 Upgrade on Surface Pro 3 - Could not login after upgrade, but...

    Well,

The upgrade went fine but I was unable to login. Luckily, Microsoft now allows you to snoop on the password before you submit it. On checking my password, I noticed that the key for ' @ ' was instead pushing out ' " ' (double quote) character instead.
    I was able to login using ' " ' instead of ' @ ' and on snooping I noticed that it did indeed translate the ' " ' to a ' @ ' character!

So, why would the upgrade default to a different keyboard? It may catch a few out there that might know to snoop on the password and end up reformatting thinking the installation has been botched!

    AK.

PS: It appears that after that initial login, the keyboard fixed itself!

I had thought of it, but always thought that the range was so minimal that unless someone sat more or less on your doorstep they couldn't intercept it, I have one of the (possibly) affected keyboards but have replaced it with a wired one. I may take a little time and get a wireless one you can encrypt.

  5. Mousejack range is up to 225 meters, of course that depends on the surrounding, 30 m is normal through walls.
I blame retailers for selling unencrypted wireless devices, encrypted cost the same, people usually ask the sellers.
