  1. Flex laptop losrt fingerprinter, touchscreen, GPU, and other drivers/hardware visibility...

Lenovo Flex 5-1570 model 80XB. Intel i5-7200 CPU w/intel 620 GPU. Fingerprint reader, Touchscreen, Digitizer and Flex pen, Second drive D: LENOVO. It had an issue with the touchscreen driver not installing, working at all. But the fingerprint scanner, and the Flex pen still worked. I contacted Lenovo about the issue, because the touchscreen has been like this for a year, and none of the updates, or community fixes, worked. I talked to them for a while, and they agreed to send me a recovery media for my pc, to reset it to what it had the day it came out of Best Buy. I thought it was awesome they were just sending me that, and chocced it up to 15 years of customer loyalty. What I DIDNT think of was that my sons desktop still had about 60 days on its warranty, so when they heard me ask for help, they did a search and saw I was on that computer, and I can only think that they just assumed I wanted it for THAT pc, and just either didn't care, or didn't understand that I needed help with the LAPTOP. I have both devices registered with Lenovo, and since the desktop is newer, it is at the top. they never asked me which computer I needed it for. I just thought that since I had not mentioned the desktop, that it would not be in the picture at all. NOPE. When I used the recovery drive, it was on the laptop. As soon as it was done, I realized there was a problem when my app list had 'AMD' at the top. You see, my sons desktop is an Ideacentre AIO, with an AMD Ryzen 3 and Radeon Vega 8 graphics. While they are both touchscreen, the desktop does not have a digitizer for the flex pen, nor does it have a fingerprint reader, or Intel Graphics. So I began searching through the pc. My D: drive is gone. there are 3-4 unknown devices in the device manager, and they will not install their drivers correctly. I have managed to install the correct GPU driver, and it works, but not even manual installation from lenovos website has worked on the driver for my fingerprint scanner. it says In windows hello that my device is not capable of a fingerprint scan, even after installing what Lenovo says is the correct driver for my pc. The touchscreen is not working at all, either. The Wacom driver for the Flex pen is not installing correctly either. The Windows version that was on the recovery drive is apparently tailored to the desktop, and it is not recognizing the hardware that is only in the laptop.

HELP WHAT DO I DO?!?!?! I don't think they are going to send me ANOTHER recovery drive, for the laptop, having just sent me one the other day. But they have broken my computer even worse than it was!!!!! I HAVE TO have the fingerprint scanner working by the time I go back to school in Sept. The touchscreen would be nice too, but I will be happy if it just recognizes all the hardware correctly again. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO?? I didn't een know it was possible to have the wrong windows 10. I thought a new installation would look through the device for the hardware that was in there, and update accordingly, but it isnt

    :)

  2. Lenovo Flex 3!! Touchscreen Not working.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

I do appreciate your efforts and time.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Use an external Mouse/Keyboard to try the steps.

Try to run Hardware Troubleshooter. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly.

    a. Press Windows Logo Key+X then click on Search option.

    b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes and click on
    Troubleshooting
    .

    c. In the new window, click View all on the left pane.

    d. In the list of options, click on Hardware and devices.

    e. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue persists, then try to uninstall and re-install touchscreen drivers.

    1.
Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click On
    Device Manager.

    2.
Then find the device that you are trying to uninstall and right-click on it to
    Uninstall.

    3.
Follow onscreen instructions to uninstall it.

    4.
To re-install, either you can restart the system or install the driver from the manufacturer’s website (recommended as they will have updated drivers).

Select the correct model and look for drivers in the link below.

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 15 :Touch Screen Not working after Windows 10's installed

    Thanks for the advice!

I followed the steps you advised, yet I could not find USB Touchscreen Controller(A111)

under Mice and Other Pointing Devices.

I could see only 'HID - Compliant Mouse' and' Lenovo Pointing Device'.

I checked both but no USB Touchscreen controller anywhere.

I don't know what to do!!!
