Windows 10: Flickering at edges of Windows DVD Player

So I just purchased windows DVD player to play - you guessed it - DVD's. I have tested other DVD playing apps before and have worked fine, but when I used this particular DVD player, the edges of the picture were flickering, my screen is a 21 incher, and I would say that over an inch on each side of the screen was flickering, don't know why this is. Any ideas?

Microsoft DVD Player Flickers...Windows 10

My Windows DVD player flickers every few seconds, the video only when playing the movie, I tried the suggestion to delete the player and reinstall now Microsoft wants to charge $15.00 to install when I had it free before. Any suggestions?

 

Windows DVD player edges flickering...

I just bought this to watch a brand new Jurassic World DVD. $15 and yet somehow the play screen is 4:3 ratio AND the edges where the 16:9 picture (that it is filmed in and that my monitor is) are flickering. Not sure what to do or how to get a refund.

What was wrong with media player? It WORKED! Oh, wait, it was free. Right....
