    Flickering Screen Still after doing uninstall etc.


    Folks, I am not very techy but I still have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 3847. The PC screen is still flickering and this all started after the last Windows update was installed.

    I followed the advice about uninstalling software for the Nvida and Intel video players and had then reinstalled. How do you identify a rogue app? Mu Security App is Kasparsky and I don't as far as I know have any other the other Apps mentioned installed. Any advice help would be appreaciated.

    Screen Flickering

    Return that card for something else. I've heard of many issues with Asus Direct Cu 7970's. You could try finding a different monitor to see if your monitor is the problem, but I doubt it.

    **I though you tried differnet cables. Buy a new cable and try it. Get a Dual Link DVI cable.

    Here's a list.

    1. Uninstall and reinstall video drivers.

    2. Replace cable

    3. Try different monitor

    4. Try different video card

    5. Replace video card.

    If you can do any of the steps above, just skip to step #5.

    Screen flickering in Windows 10 safe mode

    I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

    • How often you see black/ flickering screen on your device?
    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Is the issue of maximizing the screen confined to any particular game?
    • Were you able to see any error code with this issue?

    I would like to inform that screen flickering in Windows 10 is usually caused by incompatible apps or display drivers.

    I suggest you to refer to the troubleshooting steps like Check to see if
    Task Manager flickers, Uninstall an incompatible app,
    Update your display driver from the Microsoft article about flickering screen and check if it helps.
