    Flickering screen


    I have a ASUS Zenbook 14 and the screen has started flickering or sometimes going blank when I move the mouse. This started when i installed Bitdefender and I have since uninstalled it but the problem continues Could be coincidence. I have tried updating the display driver but windows says it is up to date. It does not flicker randomly, only when I move the mouse. I have tried posting this 30 minutes ago but it does not seem to have come up so trying again. If it is up and I missed it I apologiseCan anyone help please.

    Screen flickering in Windows 10 safe mode

    I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

    Screen flickering in safe mode help!

    Hi Yasmeentq,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your query. I suggest you to follow the steps to get out of safe mode.


    • Press Windows key + R

    • Type msconfig

    • In msconfig > Boot tab >
      Boot Options > uncheck Safe Boot > APPLY / OK.
