Windows 10: Flight Simulator 2020 license terms, activation codes, sharing of PC between several...

Is there somewhere that I can find a clear explanation of how licensing works with the new flight simulator that will answer the questions below?


If the boxed version is installed and activated on a single Windows 10 PC, can two different people use it on that PC? While the simulator appears when logged on as the person that installed and activated it, it does not seem accessible to anybody else.


During the install and activation process, the installation seemed to become associated with an XBOX profile. Is that attached to the installation, to the Microsoft account under which the installation was activated, or to the Microsoft login of whomever logs in to use the flight simulator?


I am not interested in XBOX or in running the simulator other than stand-alone - what significance does my XBOX profile have to me or can I reasonably simply ignore its existence?


Can another family member use my installation of the flight simulator on that PC while logged on locally to the PC as themselves? Does the PC have to be connected to the web for them to explicitly log in to their microsoft account? Or can she simply log on to the PC 'offline' and start using it?


If we want to have two PCs for this such that each of us can use either PC - do we have to buy a second copy of the software, or install the same boxed set again having bought a new activation key? Or does the activation key belong with the login of the player rather than with the software install? Will it cause a problem if one of the PCs a 'download' installation rather than the boxed one?


In brief - is there a document or link somewhere that clearly explains how all this works and what we can and cannot do? And when and for what an online connection is necessary once the installation is 'activated' for the first time?



I haven't been able to try all these things out because so far, the simulator won't start - hangs and sometimes gives 'memory cannot be referenced' error dialogs when trying to start a 'flight' the PC has passed memory diagnostics so the hardware seems OK, and now, won't even get that far - demanding a 'game disk' to be inserted during startup. And then ignoring it when I try inserting the first DVD from the boxed set in case that is what 'game disk' means. I'm watching the various forum posts and hoping that sooner or later these things will be fixed. But I would in the meantime like to understand the licensing and usage rules!

Will a GeForce RTX 2070 series graphics card with 8GB Graphics Card Memory be more than enough for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, to play the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on graphics settings on maximum without loosing performance?

If I have the right PC hardware, would it be possible to play the new Microsoft Flight

Simulator 2020 with the Graphics on maximum without loosing performance?
