Windows 10: Flight Simulator X 2006 stopped working after installing 2004 version

I was running Flight Simulator X 2006 on my Windows 10 laptop. Then I installed Flight Simulator X 2004 version. After that 2006 version stopped working

I have a Win 10 PC, and was able to get FSX 2004 installed and working fine..however when I installed Flight Sim 2004 it messed up the FSX 2006 , does anyone know if it's possible to get both games working on the same PC.

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
   
2. Do you receive any error message/code when you try to run Flight Simulator X 2006 on your PC?
   
3. What is the make and model of the PC?
   

Upon checking the system requirements, I found that the game is not compatible with Windows 10. You may want to refer the article

However, let’s try some troubleshooting steps and see if the game works.



Method 1:



Try running the game in compatibility mode and check if that helps. Refer the article

Make older apps or programs compatible with Windows 10



Method 2:



Perform a Clean Boot on the PC and see if the game crashes. Refer the article

How to perform a clean boot in Windows



Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer.
However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.



If the PC is working boots normally in Clean Boot, then you can refer the section

Method 3:



Try updating the graphics card drivers and see if that helps. Refer the article

Follow the steps below on how to install Microsoft flight simulator xin compatibility mode:

1. Download the Microsoft flight simulator xfrom the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the Microsoft flight simulator xinstall and then check the functionality.
