Windows 10: "Flip on long side not working" on windows 11 with EPSON ET-4500 Series

I have had this problem for years across different windows laptops in both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and I know that this is not a printer issue because "flip on long edge" works correctly when I print papers from KDE Neon. Basically, regardless of whether I choose "flip on long edge" or "flip on short edge" when printing a document from my windows laptops, it flips on the short edge, making the opposite page appear upside-down with portrait-oriented paper. Changing the flip option in printer properties does nothing. Removing and re-adding the printer in settings does not work. Changing the w

As per your query, I like to inform you that; yes, it might be issue related to the compatibility of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series graphics driver on windows 10.

Download the latest driver for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series graphics from the manufacturer's website and try installing it in compatibility mode.

Run the driver in compatibility mode.

Refer the steps to install a driver in compatibility mode:

• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility

Epson 1200 scanner now working! Very pleased.


Worked perfectly,

• Installed 2400 series driver (when it asked what model I had I also picked, 1270 and 4180 since these had the Slide scanner interface I thought it might add a few extra drivers)
• Restarted PC
• Needed to use Device manager 'Updated driver'
• Assign 2400 driver. (See attached image)
• Be sure scanner is powered on so it appears in device manager.

Tested the Slide scanner attachment, I used PRO mode and it was discovered.
I had to use the plastic blackout slide holder (for masking the slide) to find the slide though.
