Windows 10: Fn lock on Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard

Hi. I have just bought the Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use with my surface pro. I need to be able to use function lock as I use the function keys often. It's suggested I press and hold the Fn and Caps key at the same time however this isn't working. Please let me know how I can enable Fn lock? Thanks.

Microsoft Designer Keyboard - cannot find way to enable fn lock

I recently acquired a new keyboard, the Microsoft Designer Keyboard, and I noticed it doesn't have a fn lock key visible on the keyboard. As suggested by Microsoft support articles and community discussions, I've tried to enable fn lock by holding the fn key and caps lock at the same time or by holding fn key and Esc key at the same time but neither worked.

Looking at both of the manuals that Microsoft has on its website for this specific keyboard, neither provide any real instructions on how to use the keyboard beyond general setup. Link to the product can be found here: Designer Bluetooth Desktop | Microsoft Accessories

If anyone knows how to enable fn lock for this particular keyboard, it would be greatly appreciated. I did see some suggestions that enabling fn lock in the BIOS menu is possible but I'm working off of a Dell laptop provided by my employer and I'm not sure messing with my BIOS settings is a good idea in the case that I'm actually able to access those settings.

 

Tablet Bluetooth Keyboard Fn Lock Not Working

I bought a tablet case with a bluetooth keyboard.
The keyboard has media keys enabled by default, instead of Fn keys.
I would like to swap that and have the Fn keys enabled by default (not having to press Fn every time).

For example, I have to press Fn + F1 to open help.

The Fn lock key is on the DEL key (it has a little lock icon underneath it and there is no other locks in all the Fn keys, nor the Esc key, so it has to be the one). Unfortunately it does not work.
I have tried Fn + Del but it will not change the Fn keys behavior nor display anything (pressing CapsLock, for example, shows a brief caps lock overlay on screen)

Unfortunately there is no manufacturer or model on the keyboard so I can not do a specific Google search (it came with a 3rd-party tablet case I bought)

Just to make sure, keyboard drivers are up to date (according to Windows' automatic driver search at least), and tablet is a Lenovo running Windows 10.

 

Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard function keys lock

Am having trouble getting the function keys lock on my Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard. Found a support posting suggesting that holding down the Fn key while pressing the CAPs lock key for 5 seconds would set the function keys lock, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Have reset and reconnected my keyboard. Still doesn't seem to work.

Anyone with any other ideas?
