  1. Focus Assist thinks YouTube is a game

Over the last couple of days I've seen strange behaviour from Focus Assist. Whenever I watch a YouTube video in fullscreen it will enable Focus Assist in priority only mode. Sometimes it will turn off after exiting fullscreen and sometimes it'll just stay on indefinitely. I'm using the latest stable version of Chrome, Windows 10 Home 20H2, and I have not made any changes to my system recently.

My Focus Assist settings are only enabled for games. All other settings are disabled, including the fullscreen mode setting. I can also confirm that disabling Focus Assist's game setting stops this from happening, regardless of the other settings.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? I have tried disabling Chrome's hardware acceleration but this made no difference. I don't just want to disable Focus Assist altogether because notifications are annoying while gaming and can block important UI elements.

    Focus assist

    Hello @Melflormelissa,

I think there is a way *Smile

    Try the following

    1. Press "Start" and search for "focus" then there should pop something up like on the picture.

    2. Then press "Customize your priority list"

    3. From there you can add programs:

    Focus Assistant on 1903

    Greetings.

Can anyone help me figure out how the Focus assistant in Windows 10 build 1903 works exactly? Because right now I have it to"off" in the Setting menu, but everytime I do stuff it turns itself "on" by its own and keeps reminding me that "notifications will remain silent in the action center while you're in fullscreen mode". Here's how it behaves to me at the moment:

    • Desktop only - Alarm Mode On (sleep symbol)
    • Opening Edge - Focus Assistant Off
    • Opening Settings - Focus Assistant Off
    • Opening Mail - Focus Asistant Off

Everytime I close and open edge, system menu, mail, calender etc the notification center pops up this message. The way it worked before (on 1809) was that when I played games in fullscreen mode the sleep symbol on the action center became active, but everywhere else it was turned off. Now it seems to think that my desktop is in fullscreen mode? I don't understand how this works exactly. I can open and minimize Edge constantly and the sleep symbol in the bottom right corner will appear and disappear everytime.
