Windows 10: Folder Icons Don't Update On Ext. HDD

I have 3 ext. hdds. On 1 of them, folder icons dont't update automatically. For example, if i create an empty folder, the icon of that folder is of empty folder which is correct, but when i add files/folders to that folder, the folder's icon doesn't change, it still shows empty folder icon. I can manually change it by going to taht folder properties>customize and then reset icon. Same thing happens when the folder is not-empty and when i delete all files/folders inside that folder, that folder's icon still shows non-empty folder icon. I have cleaned thumbnails cache, didn't help. Even reins

Set ALL folders to the same setup.

Ya this bugs me too, I have all my movie folders in a list, but I want the movie icon to be a large icon.

I thought maybe if you changed the movie folders to a large icon, all the movies would then be large icons, but they don`t.

But I don`t want my movie folders listed with large icons, I just want them in a list. Listing all my movie folders with large icons would take up way to much space on the screen.

So when I come across a movie icon still in the list format, I change it to a large icon. It can be quite annoying sometimes *Sad

 

How to make a Uber Hidden Folder

• Make a new folder.
• Change the icon to a blank icon. No icon should appear
• Rename the folder to a blank by pressing "alt + 255." (NOTE: Press 255 on the numpad) No text should appear.
• Your done! It is uber hidden. *Big Grin

 

How to make vista display same icon size for all opened folders in explorer ?

i dont think this answers the question , how do i make all icons in all folders appear "Large Icons" .
