Folder Icons in Win 10 64-bit

Old hat subject, but very puzzling. I was able to use a 3rd Party Folder colorizer ["Marker", free version] to colour the icons for both theProgram Files Folder on both my Win 10 pcs. This despiteWindows refusing in "Properties". Anyway, I just noticed that the 64-bitPrograms Folder on the newer pc has defaulted to the yellow folder icon and nothing will change it. The 32-bit Program Files Folder is the same, chosen shade; even the 64-bit one on the older pc.

    Any help, please?

    :)

    64 bit Win 10

I have been using 64 bit Win 7 and upgraded to Win 10, which stuck me with 32 bit.

How do I get to 64 bit Win 10?

All icons in windows 10 64 bit messed up

Hi, I am having quite a problem, my icons are all messed up suddenly, on desktop as well as in explorer. My shortcuts are fine, but any other files look normal but in front of them is a blank white "paper", smaller than actual icon so icon shows from behind. In my explorer, everything shows as just a blank white paper. I have tried all of the steps you have given, and am logged into command prompt as administrator, but when I get to next to last step, it says access not allowed. So I can't perform the next to final step? I am struggling here something awful!!

I followed this, however when I get to username appdata local: I have no iconcache file anywhere?

    Upgrade Windows 10 32-bit to 64-bit.

You have to do a "clean install" of Win 10 64 bit. There is no "upgrade" process from 32 to 64 bit.

Did you have Win 7 Home or Pro. There is no "free upgrade" from Win 7 Home to Win 10 Pro. You have to do that upgrade in at least 2 steps:

Win 7 Home to Pro to Win 10 Pro

    OR

Win 7 Home to Win 10 Home to Win 10 Pro

The 32 bit to 64 bit upgrade is a separate additional step.

Run the WinVer command. What Version and Build do you have?

If you have Version 1803, many people have reported "accidental" upgrades from Home to Pro by MS. But that "upgrade" doesn't work!
