Folder property's doesn't apply to other folders within when checkbox 'Also apply this template to all subfolders' is checked.How to reproduce:On my c:\ I have a folder with other folders with pictures. when browsing to a folder, the default view is pictures so it shows me the pictures in thumbnail. I don't want that so I change the main folder property to 'Documents' and fill the checkbox 'Also apply this template to all subfolders'.What I expect: Works in Windows 10.All folders within that folder will show me a listed view.What I get:It only applies to the folder you changed the property t

Apply View Format to all Sub-folders

Browse to the folder you want to "Apply To Folders" to directly. For example, to update the OneDrive\Documents directory:

1. Click on This PC.
   
2. Click the C: drive.
   
3. Click the Users folder.
   
4. Click yourusername folder (whatever your username is).
   
5. Click the OneDrive folder.
   
6. Click the Documents folder.
   

In the path bar the path should be a fully qualified path (e.g., C:\Users\yourusername\OneDrive\Documents).

If you then click Options -> Change folder and search options the Apply to Folders button will be enabled.

Note: This assumes you've "Customized" the documents folder and all sub-folders (right click on Documents -> Properties -> Customize -> choose the style from the dropdown and make sure "Also apply this template to all subfolders" is checked -> click OK).

The "Apply to Folders" button doesn't seem to be enabled if you browse indirectly (e.g., through Libraries).

 

Custom Folder view for new folders registery hack ?

When I choose Apply to folders the current folder options is applied to new folders as well. So I don't know what you're talking about really. And I just tried it out, it works.
