Windows 10: Folder redirection, offline files sync conflicts and remoteapps

As more users have been using windows remote apps while out of the office we've discovered a rather unique combination of issues. While working over the VPN users of the remote app attempting to save to their desktop which is redirected have reported that they receive file conflicts from offline files. At the moment we do not have auto-resolve enabled due to being unsure how this would behave as while normally we would prefer to keep the local version and push that to the server, in this case, there is no local version.


We've had light issues with file conflicts previously that were resolved by forcing it to check the server every hour however in those cases the issue persisted while in office and thus off the vpn in this case the issue is resolved by being in the office.

Blue Screen when renaming file in an offline folder with redirection

Hi, I have a persistent issue of BSOD on Windows 10 when renaming a file in an offline folder. This appears to only occur on folders where I have folder redirection set up.

Windows 1903 (OS Build 18362.175) and fully up to date.

The blue screen reports an issue with RDBSS.sys.

No hardware or driver changes.

Any suggestions please?

I understand that you are facing issues with syncing offline files on the computer from network directory. As this is happening on only a couple of computers, you can try and delete the temporary files. To do this.

1. Click on Search in the Taskbar and type Control Panel.
   
2. Open Control Panel and then Sync Center.
   
3. Click on “Manage Offline Files”.
   
4. Click on “Disk Usage” tab.
   
5. Click “Delete temporary files”

You can also check the Sync Conflicts/Sync Results and see if there are any concerns.

sync - where are offline files, folders disappear when offline?

I have sync set up, between 2 PCs, and made some 'always available offline' They are in the 'manage offline files' window., - but where are the offline files in explorer, when offline?

I could find them in "network" in the folder pane when connected, but when the connection is broken, the pc containing the shared files disappears from the network list!

How to I access offline files to edit them, and offline folders to save new files?
