Windows 10: Folder tag info- sorting

Discus and support Folder tag info- sorting in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I need a way to add an editable column for folders that can be sorted.     I need a way to add an editable column for folders that can be sorted. We have a folder on the server that contains all of of our job folders in it that the name start with the job #. There can be 3-400 of these during the course of a year. I'd like to add a column that would be the customer/Contractor name so we can select that column header to sort and quickly find all jobs for a specific contractor. The list of customers can be a dropdown list like excel or just clicking on the space to edit. If that cannot be done directly in explorer is there an add on or macro or something that can

    Unfortunately, Windows does not have the (native) ability to tag folders.

    Windows 10 Explorer Sorting Folders


    What would that particular order be? Because, tags listed above offer some choice.

    Edit: beside sorting column (tag) you can also group files and folders.
