Windows 10: Folders showing double on desktop

On windows 10-

My desktop has exact duplicates of file folders, but with periods at the end of their names.

When I delete any of them, it deletes the original, and the "fake" one stays, But I can't open it. I tried hiding them but it won't let me rename any of the name without hiding all of them, and when I try to move them around, it messes up my PC. These duplicates were not created at the same time as the original files.

It might be a glitch with windows?

How to show hidden/hide folders/files for only "one specific drive"?

First way

Step 1: Open This PC.
Double-click This PC on the desktop to open it.
You can also open another folder such as Network, File Explorer, Recycle Bin, etc.

Step 2: Show the hidden files and folders in the View menu.
Click View, tap Show/hide in the menu, and check the small box before Hidden items in the sub-list.

Second Way :Show hidden files and folders in the Folder Options.

Step 1: Open Folder Options.
Open This PC, click View and select Options.

Step 2: Show the hidden files and folders in the View settings.
In the Folder Options window, choose View, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

Enabling view hidden folders/files option is the initial step that you can do to view those missing files. Since you've already tried that step, we suggest changing some settings in the
Folder Options. Follow the steps listed to make changes in viewing your folders:

• Type This PC in the Search bar then hit
  Enter.
• Double-click Desktop then click the View option on top.
• Go to the Options tab then click the drop-down button and choose
  Change folder and search options.

• Copy the URL from the favorites.
• Paste it on the desktop.
• Then double click on the URL the website will open.
• You can also drag and drop the URL from the favorite to desktop and double click to open.
