Following an attempted scam by someone who said that he was from Microsoft I cannot get into my computer. When entering a password it comes up with Microsoft Blocked. How do I unblock it?

did you forward it to valve? i know someone on my friends list that sent them an email about a scam thing some time ago and was rewarded =D

Was I scammed?

You were scammed.

The next time it happens, follows these three steps:

1. Make an appropriate gesture at your monitor.
   
2. Do not click anywhere on the window - not even on the 'X' that you would ordinarily use to close a window.
   
3. Open Task Manager and 'End task' on your web browser. You'll lose all your open tabs, but you won't get caught in a scam.
   

Remember: Microsoft will never contact you in any way, unless you previously asked them to contact you.
