Following an update from Win 10 to Win 11, I can no longer boot from the M2 NVME drive.

I have an Acer desktop with a sata HDD and a m2 NVME. The boot drive is the NVME. I was requested to update from Win 10 to Win 11. Following the update the pc only boots from the HDD. In the BIOS, the NVME is seen but not in the Boot Priority. There is no option to choose it, only the Sata HDD. What do I need to do to get the NVME recognised as a boot drive. Thanks

    :)

    M2 NVME SSD

How much exactly does Windows 10 benefit from being installed on an M2 NVME SSD compared to a SATA-600 SSD ?

Other than a faster boot time, how exactly does windows benefit from the direct connection to the cpu that an NVME SSD offers?

    Win 10 boots...

Yes, it's called the Windows Technical Preview and you can get it here (ISO Download)

You'll have to sign up for a MS account using your email and a password.

I'm using it with a 480GB SSD as the OS drive and it ~does~ boot faster, much faster.
I also have a new Win-7 build with a pair of 120GB SSDs in RAID that takes longer to boot.

    M2 NVME SSD

So you think it truly is worth it to have windows installed on an M2 NVME SSD instead of installing it on a sata-600 ssd and installing your most important software on the M2 NVME SSD ?
