Windows 10: Following installation of update KB5015684, I began getting the following error message:...

This morning, I returned to my computer, waiting for user sign-on following the automated update of #KB5015684. I signed on and things seemed to work normally for a while. Then I started getting messages like "USB Device Not Recognized, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned". No new devices have been added in several weeks and no USB connections changed in over a week. Should I back out this update and wait for a fix?Charley

The error code suggests the issue to be of Windows Updates. I suggest you to
Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool which fixes the Windows corruption error if there are any. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  and hit Enter.

Following refresh, have errors updating Windows and installing apps

I did a refresh on my Windows 10 desktop the other day, to see if it would free up space on my boot drive by eliminating stuff I didn't use. That seems to have worked, but I am getting errors in Windows update:




and also installing MS Store apps:




I have tried re-booting, signing out/in of account, downloading and running Windows Update troubleshooter, and clearing Windows update cache with batch file that: stops BITS, stops Windows Update service, deletes cache and re-starts Windows Update service and BITS.

None of those steps fixed my problems, and I am open to suggestions as how to fix this
