Windows 10: Font I keep using at work not showing up in \Windows\Fonts or in the font settings for...

I've got a peculiar issue. At work, we use "Aptos" as a standard font. For editing and artwork, I need to use a proper PC running Linux Mint. So in order to make the fonts match, I was to copy the Aptos font file to the Linux PC. Curiously, Aptos cannot be found in either the C:\Windows\Fonts folder, where I started out, nor in the settings for fonts that a quick Google Search recommended. Aptos is unknown to my fonts-control:What do I do with that? Do I need to download the font-type online? Or can I find it somewhere existing on my PC?

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

Disappearing Fonts

Alright some how...SOMETHING is erasing Fonts from my C:\Windows\Fonts directory....I have replaced about 15 Fonts! And random error's from Font's being eaten...by some Font monster.

Scanned for Viruses Clean
Malware Clean
Bad Sectors Clean
Vista being roshamboing me? *Nutkick :nutkick:

Anyone have any freaking idea WTF it is?

 

Font name ?

I'll take a wild guess and assume that's a custom made font for whatever that is. you can check Google Fonts archives or DaFont for something that might look remotely similar. It's a gothic type of whatever it is.
