Why is font not displayed in Character Map

Recently upgraded to Win 10. Since then, added new font, Helvetica Neue. It shows in File Explorer, it shows in apps generally (see image) but it doesn't show in Character Map. Why not?

  3. Private Character Created but Missing in Character Map

Hi, I am trying to make custom characters in windows Private Character Editor, but when I try to find "All Fonts" in Character Map to access my custom character, it isn't there. These are the steps I followed:

    In Private Character Editor

    >File

    >Font Links...

    >Select 'Link with All Fonts'

    >OK

    Open Character Map

    >Select 'All Fonts' from dropdown (I can't do because my dropdown list does not have the option to select 'All Fonts')

    >Find and select the Private Character I just created, and copy into a text-based document

Font is installed but it only shows up in Character Map

Character map program: which font covers Cyrillic characters?

Charmap is part of Windows. The fonts it contains are those that are installed on your computer. They are the same fonts you can choose when running a program like Microsoft Word or WordPerfect.

The fonts it shows are those that are installed on your computer. A few of those fonts come with Windows, but as I said, most of them are either installed when you install some programs or are installed separately by you. I give an example of WordPerfect
    having installed two Cyrillic fonts.

I had never heard of Bahnschrift either, but I just checked, and it's installed here too. I know I didn''t install it, so I just did a web search, and found that it's installed as part of Windows. And looking at the characters it contains in Character Map
(you can do this too; just scroll through the characters), I see that it *does* contain Cyrillic characters. So it should meet your needs.
