    I have a very old program called PowerTab, which uppon execution looks for its font powertab.ttf on c:\Windows\Fonts. I installed the font by copying the file powertab.ttf in windows explorer into c:\Windows\Fonts. I can see the OS installed the font because it shows up in the list of fonts. However, I know the font is not in c:\Windows\Fonts because I did a dir command withing the command prompt, and the file is not there. Instead, the file is in the folder C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts.When I double click the program ".exe" file it prompts me this error: "The Power

    all fonts on this list I am missing used to be inside C:\windows\fonts

    I tried to do the same than you inside the Powershell (PS C:\WINDOWS\System> 1s c:\windows\fonts ) ,
    however the term 1s was not recognized as cmdlet , function , etc etc ;

    Installing new fonts not possible?

    Just doubleclick the font file? Or drag it to the font window.

    Disappearing Fonts

    Alright some how...SOMETHING is erasing Fonts from my C:\Windows\Fonts directory....I have replaced about 15 Fonts! And random error's from Font's being eaten...by some Font monster.

    Scanned for Viruses Clean
    Malware Clean
    Bad Sectors Clean
    Vista being roshamboing me? *Nutkick :nutkick:

    Anyone have any freaking idea WTF it is?
