Windows 10: fontdrvhost.exe No User Name?

Hi all,

So I downloaded a font recenty from ufont.com. Before installing it, I tried running a virus but decided to delete it until it couldn't delete. I managed to delete it only after going into Safe Mode and then disabling fontdrvhost.exe

I noticed after running Task Manager that this is running in the background in the Details tab under Task Manager, this is the only process that has a blank for USER NAME.

Is this normal? Has my PC been infected and if so, how can I resolve this?

Windows 10 1703 Locale Problem (Non-Unicode)

inside on page 6 there is a fix, someone added it as a script

just right click on the file fixfonts.ps and choose "open with powershell"

it will auto reboot computer after replacing the erroneous .exe file (fontdrvhost.exe)

i'm attaching the link to the site, i didn't built the script and it's the one published on the microsoft site by a user.

so it's on your own risk, but i have tried it with success

..Problem Solved:

I was removing this ""Name: fontdrvhost.exe (Description: Usermode Font Driver Host)"" from the the Task Manager every windows start in order to reduce the use of the memory.. I thought it's not necessary, This exe shouldn't be removed.

Yes, it is normal to have no User name there. Though, after having been infected, I would recommend downloading malwarebytes (Free Anti-Malware & Malware Removal) and running a scan.
