Windows 10: Fonts and icons became pixelized

Hello,font and icons suddenly became pixelized, looks like a ladder on the edges of each letter. I assume it was due to the Windows update because I've tried everything else. It is possible to fix it, without reinstalling older versions of Windows or is it possible to downgrade without losing my data? I'm pretty tired of setting up everything. P.S. I do know about ClearType.

Font pixelated in WLM message list


I've got an issue that is not earth shattering but is driving me nuts. I've used Windows Live Mail for years. Attached are 2 screenshots of my WLM message list-the first is WLM in Windows 8.1, the second is WLM in Windows 10. As you can see the font for "read" messages in Windows 10 appears quite dim and pixelated whereas in 8.1 it looks fine. Back in the Windows 7 days the appearance of "read" messages was easily controlled by changing font/color under "disabled items" but with all the restrictions in Windows 10 I can no longer find that option. Can anyone tell me how I can get WLM in 10 to look like 8.1? I've poked around in the registry comparing everything but nothing I've changed makes any difference. Has anyone got any ideas?

 

New 2560x1440 screen - pixelated fonts and icons and suggesting 200% scaling

Hi,

I have just connected a new 31.5" to my Windows 10 PC and am running it at its native resolution of 2560x1440. This results in extremely pixelated fonts and icons on the desktop and in applications.

Windows 10 suggests 200% scaling, which makes the text readable but massively reduces the available workspace on the screen, and that's the reason I bought it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled my video drivers (AMD Radeon 5800) and have also downloaded and applied all of the latest Windows updates.

Please advise how I can get Windows to display fonts and icons correctly at the native resolution of the monitor.

Windows 10 Blurry fonts and Icons

Blurry fonts and icons are sometimes due to enabling DPI scaling. To get more closely at the root cause, we need additional information. Kindly answer the following:

• Is the issue still present if you are on safe mode?
• Are those blurs and pixels is only showing on a particular location on your monitor? Is it also showing on fonts/icons regardless of the app or the program in use?
• Can you send us a screenshot?
