Windows 10: Font's Small and Blurry, and Icon Previews won't load.

Now on my old desktop where I'm barely on, I just booted this up to find some things off. For starters, there's the font on my browser in which, (I can only hope is shown/visible in this screenshot,) makes the font appear as if I was typing thin tall text on an old gameboy honestly;





And even more shockingly in the midst of trying to upload this asking about where in the New windows 10 is the fix blurry text option fix was, ("Cleartype text," I believe the option was,) I come to the screenshots folder to find that the icon image previews don't want to load for some reason;





I honestly do not want to rollback my system and worry about losing some precious programs that took a bit forever to load in, so I just want to see what options seem to be altered and where I can change them, because I can't seem to find the options on control panel for the font, (nowhere in the "Settings icon" either,) and where I can only assume it is because I put my system on performance mode, (whether or not that may be the cause,) what can I do about the Icon previews not loading in. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Font kind of blurry

I just built a new gaming rig and am using an XFX 6950 and an ASUS 23.6" monitor. On some pages, I notice some fonts are a bit blurry and strain my eyes. Any idea how I can fix this? I am using windows 7, so please make the steps work for that. Thanks.
