Windows 10: Foot pedal doing weird commands in Microsoft word, not working

Hi…I’ve never used these forums before so I hope in doing this correctly! I just bought the infinity usb 3 foot pedal because I’m starting up on transcribing, however whenever I press on any of the pedals in word and start typing, i get commands instead. It’s a bit frustrating, especially since it was working for a minute or two before it just…stopped. I’ve tried looking things up and I’ve only found problems for Mac/OS while I use windows, and the only solution was to buy the “usb 3” version instead of the 2, but I already have the 3 so I’m sincerely lost. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstal

ensuring that the correct driver is installed, check if the device is recognized in the Device Manager.

USB Foot pedals by IKKEGOL not working with Windows 10

I am trying to use the IKKEGOL USB Double Foot Switch with Windows 10.

It is plugged in correctly via USB and Windows recognizes the pedals.

I wish to use it with subtitling software to play and rewind video.

In the subtitling software, the 5 key on the number pad plays the video and the 1 key on the number pad rewinds the video.

Therefore I assigned the number pad 5 key to the right foot pedal and the number pad 1 key to the left foot pedal.

The problem is that when I press the right pedal (with the subtitle program open), the video does not advance. Rather a number 5 is output. Likewise when I press the left pedal, the video does not rewind. Instead a number 1 is output.

How do I instruct the IKKEGOL foot pedals to work properly with my subtitling software, so that depressing the foot pedals makes the video move rather than causing numbers to print out?

Infinity foot pedal

I am trying to connect infinity foot pedal USB2 but keep getting the message 'controller could not be opened. I googled the problem and found it was a Windows 10 problem, when I checked my devices the foot pedal is recognised as a keyboard. I have tried
disabling the USB power saving option but this hasn't worked either. Any ideas?
